Meet the Family

The Parents
We are Steve and Jody Dake; of East Tennessee; the proud parents of 4 of the most wonderful young adults God could ever give anyone.  We are ever so proud!
"Behold, children are a gift of the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward.  Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one's youth.  How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them; They will not be ashamed when they speak with their enemies in the gate."     Psalm 127:3-5

The Eldest
Sarah
God has gifted her with so many talents, she must pick and choose what to do next.
Enjoying the farm, singing, playing the bass guitar with her siblings, "playing" around with her violin and Julia's dulcimer, dancing for her King, knitting different creations, tech savvy (helping her mom with her blog), choreographing for others, artistry, and anything else asked of her.
A wonderful daughter who made me a mother.
Kind, helpful, shy, still blushes, one who honors her parents well, still desiring her father's headship.

The Artist
Jenny
As the title says, I like to draw.  I definitely like to laugh and sing.  Knitting is another hobby I thoroughly enjoy. Mmmmm... I love chocolate (says I, while sipping hot  chocolate).  I LOVE to swim, and have been on a swim team for a few years.  Says mom, "she continues to grow and has matured greatly in our Lord."
She is the eldest twin by 16 minutes and simply a joy.  The child who makes everyone laugh and brings joy simply by her smile.  Another honoring and God-fearing daughter.

The Musician
Julia is extremely talented in music, and God has gifted her in many ways.  She has a very wise and discerning spirit, continuing to grow and mature through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  She is, as all our children are, a very avid reader.  She enjoys writing as well.  A very gifted artist, already being commissioned for different projects.  Knitting is a joy for her, as is staying true to her heavenly Father by being in His Word daily.

The Guitarist
Jamin is an avid guitarist, playing the acoustic, electric, and bass guitars.  His other interests include knives, guns, movies, and reading.  He is always helping his Poppy work on the family farm, continuing to learn from his father and Poppy to be a leader and a godly man.  A joy to have as a son.

Undivided
Our children play and sing together, leading worship at different places.  They have chosen the name "Undivided" which was taken from Sarah's graduation verse, Psalm 86:11.  God has gifted them with music and dance which they use to praise, worship, glorify God, and lead others to His throne.
