Living Life

Oh, the joys of youth!!!
How I wish for the energy it gave, and I took it for granted!
Fatigue and sore muscles sometimes overtake me,
but now I reflect and pray and share with
my children to live in the now, to enjoy the life they are given,
to really live in Christ, the One who gives life!

Scenery from a couple months ago.
Sarah taking a walk, and
Jamin enjoying the view from above!
Oh, how fun!!!

Jamin's favorite verse is Psalm 27:1,
"The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the defense of my life;
Whom shall I dread?"

Have a blessed day!

Family Outing

Our family recently took a trip to Bald River Falls.
Take a look at God's wonderful and amazing creation.
The dad was so overwhelmed by the goodness we were surrounded by and our wonderful children that we had our Bible readings for the day on top of the falls, and then a glorious prayer in the middle of all God had made for us.  Isn't God good?

The Dad and his wonderful, Godly young man.
Isn't he cute?  Yes, the son is too. =)

Our amaaaaazing children.
A mother couldn't be more proud.
It's ok to be proud in this instance. *grin*

The Falls.  Looks just like my painting my cousin, Rose Ridings, did for us.

"I will bow down toward Your holy temple
and give thanks to Your name
for Your lovingkindness and Your truth;
For You have magnified Your word
according to all Your name.
On the day I called,
You answered me;
You made me bold with
strength in my soul."
Psalm 138:2

Praise is the deepest expression of the soul in love with God.
Worship Him today...now.

Taking Care of the Farm

While my parents, the grandparents, have been in AZ helping and supporting my sis and her family
during their trying times with Baby K and his diabetes, we have been caring for the farm.

Still feeding the holstein calves, and moving new baby calves and cows after giving birth.

Today, a large cedar tree fell across a fence after the storm yesterday.  Our Uncle, and a wonderful cousin, who has been helping with the calves, came and sawed the tree; the trunk stood back up and then they helped us fix the fence.

We are so grateful to our cousin, for helping us so much.  We must still need "Poppy" alot!  We're doing the best we can, Dad. *grin*  Check back at the girls blog for more pics from Sarah.

Always Grateful!

18th Birthday Wishes

Yesterday, the 16th of November was our twins, Jenny and Julia's 18th birthday!!!  WOW!!!  How time flies!  They are growing into wonderful, Godly, young maidens, whose desire is to please their Lord and Savior.  We are so very proud!

We had a quiet dinner with our family, and Sarah, the big sis (she's 19) decorated their cake.  We were working with the cattle, so they actually helped with the meal and cake.

I said quiet, but we had a bit of silliness and laughter, exactly like it should be.  A wonderful day!!!

Lil bro, Jamin, lit the candles and if you look closely at the last pic, he is under the table like our cat.  Not sure why, but we caught him! *Grin*

Julia is hid between the gifts.  Cute!  Jen's necklace was made from paracord by her brother for her birthday.  How sweet!

The other photographer with a nerds rope in her mouth.  *Sweet*  Go to the girls blog to see more of the three maidens.

Happy, Happy Birthday Girls!!!
We Love You!!!

So grateful for who you are!

Shadows

If God really works in everything — then why don’t we thank Him for everything?”
That was the first line on Ann's blog post, go here and be thankful!

"I have set the Lord continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken."    Psalm 16:8

"Keep me as the apple of the eye; Hide me in the shadow of Your wings."   Psalm 17:8

Shadows can be scary when we don't know the origin, but if you don't focus on the shadow, you see the sun, the Son, shining through.  He always does, even in hard times, especially in hard times.

My 8 month old nephew has been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.  My sister and family had a scare when they saw the shadows fall last Friday, and, there will be a constant watch but, they did see the Son, as He showed up through doctors, specialists, PICU nurses, Godly, Christian nurses and were grateful for friends who loved and cared for the other children during hospital visits and overnight stays.  Grateful it could have been something worse, but even so, Thank You, Lord.  Continue to administer peace, grace, mercy, encouragement, that they still see You and Your goodness in ALL things.  Thank You for their faith and how they share it and their eucharisteos with the other children.

        Bless them in their faithfulness to You in all things.

           See the shadows, See the Son.

Autumn

Many seasons in our lives.

                      With Christ they are grace.

     Thank You for Your grace Lord.

            Thank You for Your Love, Your Love on The Cross,

    The Cross You suffered and died on for Me, for Me!

                                 Thank You, my Lord and my Savior!

Autumn is one of my family's favorite seasons.  We love the cooler weather, the beautiful showing of colors, sun making creation a spectacular expression of His love for us!

Simply amazing!  Here are a few pics to enjoy.  Sarah loves the plush green moss we see around on trees and rocks.

These pictures do not have all the colors; now, go outside and take a look around.  Amazing, right?

In choir practice, we are working on a new song for Christmas, King of All My Days."

Here are some of the lyrics, say them, and let them sink in, deep within,

and may it be your prayer to Him, the One who Loves and Saves.

King of all my days, worthy of all praise;

I worship You,

I worship You.

I surrender all, at Your feet I fall;

I worship You,

I worship You.

You reign, You reign over me.

You reign, You are my King.

You reign,

You reign over me.

You reign, You are my King.

King of all my days, worthy of all praise;

I worship You,

I worship You.

I surrender all, at Your feet I fall;

I worship You,

I worship You.

I worship You.

I worship You.

You are my King.

(Words and music by Amanda Singer; this is a portion of the song.)

Is He King of all your days? Is He worthy of all your praise?

           Do you surrender all?  Not some, but ALL?

    Can the person you run into tell by your countenance,

                  by your dress, by your words, by your spirit,

           that Jesus is your King,

                           that you worship Him above all else?

I pray you do because He is worthy above all!

Always Experiencing Him,
Jody

The Almighty

In the shadow of the Almighty we take refuge!
               Thank you, Jesus, for loving us and protecting us
                           ...even in the hard times.

Our family and friends have just experienced one of those hard eucharisteos, the death of a beloved one. Thank You for the years we had with Olivia Bohannon Pullins. She was a true blessing to ALL those who knew her. Livvie now rests at the feet of the One who gave her life and we know she heard, "Enter in, good and faithful servant, you no longer need to suffer for My sake."

Always Experiencing Him,
Jody

In the Valley

Go here, In the Valley, and....
                                                               Thank Him.

The Valley of Vision

Lord, High and Holy, Meek and Lowly,

Thou hast brought me to the valley of vision,
where I live in the depths but see thee in the heights;
hemmed in by mountains of sin I behold Thy glory.

Let me learn by paradox
that the way down is the way up,
that to be low is to be high,
that the broken heart is the healed heart,
that the contrite spirit is the rejoicing spirit,
that the repenting soul is the victorious soul,
that to have nothing is to possess all,
that to bear the cross is to wear the crown,
that to give is to receive,
that the valley is the place of vision.

Lord, in the daytime stars can be seen from deepest wells,
and the deeper the wells the brighter Thy stars shine;

Let me find Thy light in my darkness,
Thy life in my death,
Thy joy in my sorrow,
Thy grace in my sin,
Thy riches in my poverty,
Thy glory in my valley.

(The Valley of Vision Puritan Prayers and Devotions)

Baby Calves

If you have seen the girls' blog at threemaidens, you have seen Sarah's post on feeding baby calves.  If you haven't been there, they are raising 18 baby Holstein calves with their grandparents.  Go over and check out the other pics Sarah took.

Sarah and Jenny are mixing the calf milk and pouring into bottles. This is mostly Sarah and Grandmama's job.  After we are finished feeding, everything must be washed, ready for the next feeding at 7 am or 5 pm.

The girls and grandmama are feeding the darling babies.  Most have names, but I get them confused.  12 are the 12 sons of Jacob, and they have Samson, Mooney, Dal, and Nut.  There is usually a personality which goes with each one.

Poppy and Jamin built feeding troughs for the grain and hay to go in.  They did a very fine job.  My family doesn't like doing things half way, so, when they build something it looks very good.  Great work!

Jamin really did help, we just got there late to get pics and got the finished products.

Jamin had worked very hard on cleaning the barn lot when we first brought the calves in.  He washed and washed the concrete.  It looks great!

Thanks for enjoying the farm life with us!

Always Experiencing Him,
Jody
