A Cold Day

Our day began with temperatures in the 20's, so this is what you do for lunch when you still haven't turned your heat on, and heating with only the fire place.  You bring the card table and chairs in front of the fire and eat!  So much fun!  So many little adventures to be thankful for!  What a joyous day!  Even the cat likes being by the fire...

Sarah made spaghetti and meat sauce for lunch and, boy, was it good!  All warm and cozy and food, what could be better?!

What do you do to stay warm?  Blankets? Yes! Fires? Yes! Extra layers? Yes! Fuzzy Socks? Yes! That too!

It warmed up to the 40's so we didn't stay here all day, just in between daily happenings.

What is your temperature where you are?

Wow, that's cold!
Haha, I love the cat in the recliner while the humans use folding chairs - so like a cat. XD
Personally, I use toe-socks and perpetual blanket-capes to keep warm. ;) Can't wait to break those out.

I didn't even think about the cat and us til you mentioned it! That is too funny! Jenny likes toe socks too, they kinda bother me, but they sure are cute.
We did this again for breakfast this morning that Sarah had fixed for us, mmmmmmmm, good, and oh, so cozy, but chilly when you stepped away from the fire. Still in 20's this morning! Ooosh!

We've had unseasonably cold weather the last 2 days (but only in the 30's. Still we've enjoyed sitting around the fire and curling up in blankets. Love your pictures (the spaghetti is making me really hungry!)

They had even called for 30% chance of snow a couple days ago, but we didn't get any. It would have been very odd, but we would have loved to have seen it falling down, snow is so pretty, and we do not get a lot here. The blizzard of '93 was our worst, wow! I loved it!!! Most people did not.
I am enjoying the cold though, just love having a fire and curling up.
Thanks for stopping by!

We love to spend time in front of our fire too. We've been running it non stop for a few days but it gets really COLD when it goes out in the night, did you all see any snow at all? I heard there was a little up near Knoxville. We were in downtown Chattanooga Tuesday night and it was so cold walking down there I thought I would freeze. Loved all the pictures and the Spag. looked SOOO good!!

Hi Missy! No we did not see any snow, it sure would've been neat though.
I bet you were freezing, but you can mark it down as another adventure together.
Good to hear from you!
